What the five sessions do
The 5 Sessions package is a short series of group classes intended to establish a routine and introduce progressive challenge. Classes use reformer-based group instruction with an emphasis on core engagement, full-body strengthening and flexibility. Small class sizes let instructors observe movement and give targeted cues so each session builds on the last.
Progress across five sessions depends on attendance and consistency. Instructors adapt cues and variations to the group while offering individual corrections when needed, which helps newcomers feel safe and experienced clients find increasing challenge. Expect each class to combine strength, core work, and stretching in slightly different sequences to develop durable movement habits.
Class environment and format
Sole Pilates runs reformer-based group classes in a compact, welcoming studio near Birch Hill and NY-25A. The studio’s small-group format means more hands-on guidance and clear demonstrations, and students often report feeling energized and less tense after class. Instructors vary pace and combinations so sessions stay fresh while targeting the same movement principles.
Local rhythm matters: many clients are commuters or families, so early-morning, after-work, evening and weekend slots are popular. The studio’s proximity to the Locust Valley LIRR station and village makes it practical for people combining Pilates with errands, sightseeing at nearby Planting Fields, or a visit to Sagamore Hill.
When to book and prepare
Demand rises most in January, May and September, so evening and weekend classes can fill quickly during those months. If you’re starting a five-class package during a seasonal peak, plan to book your preferred time slots early to keep sessions spaced consistently. The 5 Sessions package price is $210.
New clients should arrive a little early for orientation to the reformer and to let instructors adjust exercises to your comfort. Because class sizes are intentionally small, punctuality preserves your spot and ensures you receive the full benefit of individualized cues within the group setting.
